Dorothy Burton is Founder of Christ-Followers In Public Service.  A non-profit organization based in Texas, committed to equipping and encouraging public servants and leaders to lead with integrity, wisdom and faith.

A former four-term city council representative, Dorothy is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary (MA Christian Leadership), the University of Texas at Arlington (MA Urban Affairs; BA Journalism) and understands first-hand the pressures, pitfalls and challenges of public servant leadership.
 

An empowerment teacher, Dorothy is a lay Christian counselor, speaker, as well as a subject matter expert in navigating the dynamics of faith in public spaces, public servant leadership, ethics, and truth in the public sphere. Her work is driven by a deep conviction that truth, character, and integrity in leadership are essential because the well-being of the people depends on it.
 

Dorothy advocates for the coexistence of Christianity and representative democracy in America, emphasizing that government must represent all people - those of faith and those without.  
 

Through her writing, teaching, and speaking, Dorothy empowers and inspires leaders, emerging leaders and those serving in public roles to achieve personal growth and enhance individual, organizational, and team performance.

With decades of experience in public servant leadership, Dorothy brings keen insight and practical wisdom to help governments, organizations, teams, and individuals. She is adept at advising leaders in crisis, resolving complex relational and organizational challenges, and providing solutions that drive results.

Dorothy shares proven principles and actionable strategies to equip, motivate, and inspire leaders. She speaks frequently at leadership and faith-based conferences, delivers keynote addresses and develops proprietary training and coaching for leaders in public space.
